Open-Point has been arquitected to be a framework upon which additional

The core of the application is composed of the content management system and

Sites and Subsites: Open-Point supports the creation of top-level sites
and unlimited subsites. Each site or subsite can be managed separately, have
its own security settings, search collection, and templates. The content
contained within each top-level site and its child subsites is managed
separately.
Distributed Administration and Security: Open-Point’s model of
distributed team-based Web authoring relies upon a tiered security system,
customizable to your specific needs. Security privileges can be granted or
denied to users based on role membership at a level of granularity that spans
the entire site or a page(s) or to a particular module.
User Authentication can be applied much the same way as administrative
authentication, allowing for the creation of personalized content, tailored to
the role membership of the user browsing the site.
